Acer TravelMate 4720



Acer has silently unveiled TravelMate 4720, the PC maker’s latest addition to its Intel "Santa Rosa"-based business notebook line-up.

According to the details published on Company’s website, the 14.1 inch widescreen (1280×800-pixel) Acer TravelMate 4720 supports Intel Core 2 Duo T7100/T7300/T7500/T7700 processors and up to 4GB DDR2 system memory. It is built on Intel’s Mobile GM965 Express chipset with the integrated GMA X3100 graphics. The specifications say the TravelMate 4720 comes with up to 160GB SATA hard drive and a choice of DVD burner or combo optical drive.

Acer’s 4720 has Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N (802.11a/b/g/draft-n) network connection, Gigabit Ethernet, built-in Bluetooth, and a 56k modem, as well as webcam and optional VOIP phone for audio/video communication.

In Acer TravelMate 4720, there is a wide range of I/O ports, such as a Type II PC Card slot, a 5-in-1 card reader, four USB ports, Firewire port, VGA and S-Video ports, and an infrared port.

This 5.29lbs notebook features the new magnesium alloy chassis design called “ProFile” and comes with Windows Vista pre-installed.
